Richard Stern has faced the terrorists more than once. He wages two wars. His battle with a lingering illness and the enemy hiding in Lake County.

FBI Agent Monica Micovich has a mammoth job protecting informer Richard Stern. With her partner Paula Gavalia they manage to keep Stern from danger (Book Two, A Third Cell in America), that is for a while.

Stern's premonitions are mindboggling. Doctors label him a tempest. The disease of habit and denial rob from him. He finds a guiding light, Father Pete, the catholic priest from St. Anthony's Church has benevolent words. If only Stern would follow the pastors advice.

The female agents must make a decision.
